Keys:  Some of our homes have dial combination lock boxes while others have push button numbers.  Combinations are changed through out the year, so your combination will be sent to you via email approximately two weeks before your arrival.  Be sure to watch for it, and notify us if you have not received it by then.

 

 Alphabetical Dial Lock Box:    The box will be located in the front entry. 

 

Your email will look something like this:  The combination will  be _____.  It is best to dial the lock a couple of times to the right before stopping on the __1st___  letter, then back to the left skipping the __2nd__  letter the first go round and stopping on the __2nd__ letter the second go round.  Back to the right to the __3rd__ letter and the box will open up.  Once inside, you will have 2 keys, which will be left in the home next to our welcome bag and our exit questionnaire.  We ask you to immediately return the lockbox key to avoid any possibility of being locked out.

 

Numeric Lock Box:  The box will be located in the front entry. 

 

Your email will have the numbers for the combination.  You should press the reset button first before you enter the code.  Once inside, you will have 2 keys, which will be left in the home next to our welcome bag and our exit questionaire.  We ask you to immediately return the lock box key to avoid any possibility of being locked out.

 

Cancellation Policy: 


You may cancel your reservation with a 45 day notice and receive all monies back minus a $50.00 administrative fee.    Should you cancel within 45 days  of your date of arrival, there is a $50 administrative fee plus one-half of the rent amount paid  unless another renter can be secured for your scheduled stay.  To cancel within 14 days of arrival means forfeiture of your entire money paid, NO exceptions, No refunds.  Note:  Under extreme circumstances, we will however issue a “rain check” good for up to 4 months for a stay in the same home, however any seasonal rates would be applicable and no refunds given for staying in an off season.

 

For High Season [6/15 to 9/15] and holidays  [Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year, Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day]:  To cancel within the 60 days of arrival time, you forfeit one half of your rent paid plus a $50 administrative fee.

To cancel within 21 days of arrival you forfeit all monies paid, NO exceptions, NO refunds.  Under some circumstances, we will however issue a “rain check” good for 4 months for a stay in the same home, any seasonal rates would be applicable; but no refund of a higher season rate would be refunded for an off season stay.

 

**Regarding Rainchecks:  Special and unavoidable conditions may be acceptable in some homes.  Not all houses qualify, do ask if you’ve a question.

Remember please that the owner is not responsible for late arrivals or early departures.  As our housekeepers may have scheduling situations, some charges could apply.


 

During Your Stay:

 

While you are in the home please assist us by observing any problems that may occur.  We are better able to serve our guests when we know of conditions that need attention.

 

Should you be there when the garbage company is picking up the trash please place it on the appropriate curb.  And, if you are there the next day, please return the containers.

 

Recycling is very important to the owner and our company.  Some collection companies have the glass, the paper and tin in the same container, the containers are marked.  Other companies separate glass from paper and tin.  Again, containers are marked.  Please be aware and recycle responsibly.


 

Exit:


Check-out:  We ask that you please:

 

         Remove all trash and place in the receptacles for the garage, recycle containers also

         Place all dirty dishes in the dishwasher, add soap and turn on

         Start a load of soiled towels, this would be greatly appreciated

         Leave the thermostat on 60 -heat on, for winter stays and 80 A/C on for summer stays

         Make sure all remotes for TV’s and appliances are in place

         Please check to make sure the propane has been turned off on the BBQ and that the BBQ is left covered

         Verify the hot tub cover is latched and locked

         Secure all doors and windows

 

 

Upon walk-out:

            Make a last walk-through to make sure no personal items are left behind

Leave the 2 house keys (and if there is a garage door opener) in the kitchen

Make sure the key is in the lock box, using it to lock the front door if necessary

Please Note:  We will be happy to return any left behind items.  There is a $35 fee plus postage. 

 

Our Pet Policy:

 

     We follow certain guide lines regarding pets.  Some homes allow pets while other only allow certain types of pets.  Our criteria for pets starts with the owner's wishes, then to the rules of the home and finally to the rules of the location of the homes.  If you are thinking of bringing a pet, be sure to read our pet policy first, then ask a reservationist if the home is pet friendly and be ready to make allowances required for your pet.

 

 

LIABILITY WAIVER:

I agree to release, to hold harmless and indemnify The Rental Connection, its agents and employees, and any member, participating homeowner, manager, liaison or organization working in conjunction with The Rental Connection, providing overnight  lodging or recreational vehicle overnight parking, for any and all claims and liability for personal injury, accidents, or acts of God, death, or property damage to myself or to my group who are numbered in this guest registration, or for which I or anyone in my group may be liable to others, arising out of or in connection with my or our use of this Rental Connection site, including, but not limited to use of rooms, parking spaces, walkways, stairs, steps, paths, pools, saunas, hot tubs, decks, yards, gardens or any property or services on this Rental Connection site.  I and my group use the facilities at our own risk and must comply with any rules stated by The Rental Connection or by the participating host(s).  Failure to comply with the stated rules can result in the hosts insisting that I and my party leave the premises at once, and all our fees and charges will be forfeited.  I accept responsibility and will pay for:  1) any losses or damages I or my party cause, and 2) any court or legal fees incurred to collect on such losses or damages.

I agree to assume the safety and Liability of using  the owner’s hot tub not only for myself, but for all my guests and family
